EMPLOYER LED Hospitality Management training

Background The Aga Khan Rural Support Programme (AKRSP) under the BEST4WEER project is pleased to announce free of cost Employer-Led customized training courses in Hospitality Management skills in partnership with the Gilgit Serena Hotel for youth (women and men) hailing from respective districts of the Gilgit region. The overall objective of these customized training courses is to provide market-driven, employable/self-employable technical and professional “Future of Work” skills in the Hospitality sector for marginalized youth to create a cadre of “Future of Work” champions in their future workplaces, and to promote self-employment/employment & income generating opportunities.

Hospitality Management Skillsets Training:

Front Office Desk Guest Service – (Qualification requirement: Graduation)
Housekeeping – (Qualification requirement: Matric/ Intermediate)
Laundry Work - (Qualification requirement: Matric/ Intermediate)
Food & Beverage Services - (Qualification requirement: Matric/ Intermediate/ Graduation)
Food & Beverage Production - (Qualification requirement: Matric/ Intermediate/ Graduation)
Heating, Ventilating, Air Conditioning & Refrigeration System (HVACR) - (Qualification requirement: Matric/ Intermediate)

Training Duration: 03 – 04 Months

Eligibility Criteria:

Young women and men between the ages of 18 to 35 years.
Must have completed a Matric/ Intermediate or Graduation degree/certificate.
Candidates who are currently unemployed and opt to continue their career and work.
Candidates who are interested and willing to work at various locations after successful completion of training.
After successful completion of training, only successful or qualified graduates will be offered employment or will be offered apprenticeship placement.
Candidates applying for the employer-led program must have CNIC and domicile of respective districts of Gilgit.
Must upload required educational testimonials, CNIC and relevant training certificate.

Bridging Program Training - Basic Freelancing & Basic Computer Skills 2023 Under BEST4WEER Project

Background

The Aga Khan Rural Support Programme (AKRSP) under the BEST4WEER project is pleased to announce Bridging Program courses in (1). Basic Freelancing, and (2). Basic Computer Skills training for the year 2023 for youth (women and men) hailing from respective districts of the Gilgit region. The overall objective of these training courses is to provide basic technical and professional skills in basic freelancing and basic computer skills to qualify for employer-led training to marginalized youth to create and promote self-employment and employment opportunities through freelancing and online earning.

Training Duration: 01 – 02 Months (Crash Course)

Locations: District level (as per the number of applicants).

Eligibility Criteria:

A- Qualification Eligibility for Basic Freelancing Training:

1. Young women and men between the ages of 18 to 35 years.

2. Must have completed an Intermediate or Graduation degree/certificate.

3. Must have completed certification/diploma in Computer/IT training from any institution.

4. Candidates applying for the above course must have CNIC and domicile of respective districts of Gilgit.

B- Qualification Eligibility for Basic Computer Skills Training:

1. Young women and men between the ages of 18 to 35 years.

2. Must have completed an Intermediate or Graduation degree/certificate.

3. Candidates applying for the above courses must have CNIC and domicile of respective districts of Gilgit.

Note: Only qualified or successful graduates will be eligible to apply for future employer-led training after

completing the basic freelancing course successfully.

Application Procedures:

The application form can be obtained from the respective AKRSP Area & Regional Offices, and LSOs offices and can submit the duly completed application form along with testimonials (Intermediate / Graduation degree copy), IT Training certificate/diploma, CNIC Copy, and 01 Passport Size photo.
