VMA will be hosting a university fair on April 21st. Currently we have received more than 40 registrations from universities & colleges in US, UK, HK, Australia, Japan, Spain, Switerland, Isreal, Canada as well as Pioneer, Duolingo, Initialview, Vericant, etc. The registration is still open. We welcome and want to invite all the counselors and students&parents from your schools to join us. We will have an individual session for counselors to network with the university reps as well. College Counselors in the Greater Bay Area came together for the first regional conference, hosted by Chinese University of Hong Kong- Shenzhen.

Counselors from the area’s international schools worked on an agenda to enhance the day-to-day counseling that takes place in our respective schools. Professional development in the areas of marketing our schools to universities, mental health awareness in university admissions, and career advising for high school students.

This event was the first formal event of it’s kind for the college counselors and was the genesis of a GBA college counselors  group spearheaded by counselors from Vanke Meisha Academy, Shen Wai International School, and Shekou International School. Other areas of China have their own network of counselors, and there is a young national organization for university admissions counselors that we are a part of as well. This was an opportunity to come together, learn from one another, and to support each other to raise the standard for college counseling in our area.
