Welcome to my website :)
I am Associate Professor of Economics in Estonian Business School, Estonia.
My research lies at the intersection of institutional economics, political economy, and development economics, with a particular focus on post-communist countries and Central Asia. I investigate how formal institutions, informal norms, and governance structures shape individual behavior, business decisions, and long-run economic outcomes.
My research has been published in leading international journals, including Kyklos, European Journal of Political Economy, Economic Systems, Scottish Journal of Political Economy, and other peer-reviewed outlets. I actively collaborate with researchers across Europe and Central Asia through several international research projects funded by the European Union.
In addition to research, I teach Microeconomics and Quantitative Methods, supervise students, and organize academic seminars that bring together scholars from around the world. I strongly believe that high-quality research should contribute not only to academic knowledge but also to better public policy and stronger institutions.
This website serves as a platform to share my publications, working papers, research projects, teaching activities, conference presentations, and other academic work.
Whether you are a researcher, student, policymaker, or potential collaborator, I hope you find the resources here informative. I always welcome opportunities for collaboration, joint research, and academic exchange.
