Change

Change is about the shift in percussion towards popular music. As the next generation of percussionists and composers are composing new works based on their influences and experiences, we are seeing the popular music and chamber music intersect with one another’s ideas and philosophies. 

Change tips a cap to the modern composers who fuse these genres to create music enjoyed by all.  Change represents the descent from traditional percussion towards a more poppy and modern sound.

Instrumentation: 4.5 Marimba (opt.4.3), Vibraphone, Bells, Snare Drum, Bass Drum, and Suspended Cymbal.
