Introduction
This is a portfolio contains several examples of maps produced while I was a student at Paul Smiths College. Here you will find maps created by me. Projects in this portfolio were created for my GIS 420 and GIS 335, and GIS 350 classes. Write ups for each of the projects describe the problem being assessed, problem solving strategies, data elements required and procedures and methods applied. About me
My name is Gavin Sessions, and I am a Paul Smiths College graduate. I earned my degree in Environmental Science with minors in GIS and Chemistry. I started my GIS journey at Hudson Valley Community College. Outside of academia, I worked for the USGS, where I collected hydrology data for watershed GIS projects. I have also worked for the DEC in the division of air resources, analyzing and collecting air samples across the state.
