Other Simulations: Electric Flux & Shell Theorem
This simulation allows you to numerically evaluate Gauss's Law.
The charge in the simulation is +1.0 nC and it's initially placed at (0, 0, 0) at the center of the Gaussian cube of side length 1.0 m.
The charge (red sphere) can be moved by left-clicking and dragging. The charge's position can also be set with the x, y, and z position input boxes. You can rotate around the scene by right-clicking and dragging.
The number of electric field evaluation points can be set using the "No. of E-field vectors" dropdown menu.
By selecting the "Show surface tiles" checkbox and then selecting a specific tile in the main graphics window, a close-up view of the tile and its central electric field vector will be shown in the secondary graphics window. The electric field strength, its direction, and the tile area will also be shown in a text output window.
