We shall not cease from exploration
And the end of all our exploring
Will be to arrive where we started
And know the place for the first time.

Halloa,
I am Gaurav Nirala. Currently, a postdoc at the Jack Harris Labs, Yale Physics Department, working towards macroscopic entanglement in superfluid-Helium based optomechanical systems.
I received a Ph.D. in quantum optics at the Center for Quantum Research and Technology (CQRT), University of Oklahoma (OU), USA. My thesis, "Characterization and Control of Spatial Correlations in Entangled Twin Beams", focuses on entanglement in spatial modes of light generated in a Four-wave Mixing process.
Prior to this, I worked as a project assistant in the Light and Matter Physics (LAMP) Group at Raman Research Institute, India under the guidance of Prof. Urbasi Sinha. This work was related to "Inference of the average value of non-Hermitian operator via weak value".
I graduated from the National Institute of Science Education and Research (NISER), India with Integrated M.Sc. (BS+MS) in physics in 2014.
