Is my data private?
Yes. GAUGE stores everything on your device. There is no account and no cloud sync. The only time data leaves your device is when you choose to run an AI feature. See our Privacy Policy for full details.
Do I need an internet connection?
No. Logging, viewing, editing, charts, backups, and exports all work fully offline. Only the AI features require a connection.
How do AI credits work?
AI features that generate reports, scans, answers, and ticket imports use a monthly credit allowance. The free tier includes a monthly amount, and GAUGE Pro includes a larger monthly amount. A failed or cancelled AI request is refunded automatically.
How do I manage or cancel my subscription?
Subscriptions are billed through your Apple Account. Open Settings in GAUGE while subscribed and tap Manage Subscription, or manage it anytime in your Apple Account settings on your device. Subscriptions renew automatically unless cancelled at least 24 hours before the end of the period. There is no free trial.
How do I back up or move my data?
In Settings, choose Backup Journal and set a passphrase to create an encrypted backup file, then save or share it wherever you like. To restore, choose Restore Backup, select the file, and enter the same passphrase. Keep your passphrase safe, as backups cannot be recovered without it. Restoring replaces the journal on the device.
How do I export my data?
You can export a single well to CSV or Markdown, export the whole portfolio to CSV, and export reports to PDF. Use the export options in each well and in Settings.
How do I delete my data?
You can delete any individual item in the app. To erase everything, use Reset All Data in Settings, or delete the app from your device.
What devices are supported?
GAUGE runs on iPhone and iPad with iOS 17 or later.
