Composition & Violin

Élana Gatien (b. 2003) is a graduate of Linfield University with a Bachelor of Arts in creative writing and music with a focus on composition. Aer childhood was filled with music, from film soundtracks to Disney songs to the music of Rossini and Rimsky-Korsakov. Ae began piano lessons at the age of five, which sparked interest in violin, steel pan, cello, and more; inspired by the music ae listened to, ae also began to compose. As a violinist, Élana plays in both Classical and Celtic fiddle styles. Apart from music, aer interests include creative writing, reading, and small crafts.
