Leah Gathigia Smithies is a mother, pastor, and survivor with a powerful testimony of resilience, healing, and purpose. Born and raised in Kenya, Leah faced abandonment, hardship, and trauma—yet through every trial, her faith in Christ became her anchor.
Her life is a living testimony of redemption. What once seemed like devastation was turned into a divine calling. Today, Leah is the founder of Gathigia Family Life Center, where she leads mission efforts to bring education, nutrition, medical care, and the gospel to Kenya’s most vulnerable youth.
Her story is detailed in her memoir, Leah, a book that not only tells her journey—but ignites a movement.
