Students, parents, teachers, alumni, stakeholders, and volunteers joined hands in a week-long display of unity and service, transforming the school into a safe, clean, and welcoming environment for the opening of School Year 2026–2027.
PINUT-AN, SAN RICARDO — The spirit of bayanihan once again took center stage as Pinut-an National High School successfully conducted Brigada Eskwela 2026 from June 1 to June 7, bringing together students, parents, teachers, stakeholders, alumni, volunteers, and community partners in a collective effort to prepare the school for the opening of classes.
Anchored on the theme "Bayanihan sa Paaralan, Nagkakaisa para sa Kaayusan at Kaalaman," the week-long activity showcased the power of community collaboration in ensuring that learners return to a safe, clean, and conducive learning environment.
The activity officially commenced on June 1 with a kick-off parade that traversed the barangay, drawing participation from various sectors of the community. The parade served not only as a ceremonial opening but also as a call for collective action, encouraging residents and stakeholders to take part in the school's annual maintenance and improvement efforts.
Following the parade, a kick-off program was held at the school grounds, attended by school officials, faculty members, local government representatives, parents, alumni, community leaders, and partner stakeholders. Messages of support and commitment were delivered, emphasizing the importance of shared responsibility in advancing the quality of education and ensuring learner readiness for the new academic year.
Throughout the week, volunteers continuously arrived on campus to lend their time, skills, and resources. Classrooms underwent cleaning, repairs, repainting, and beautification efforts, while school grounds were cleared, landscaped, and organized to create a more welcoming atmosphere for learners. Parents worked alongside teachers, students collaborated with community members, and stakeholders contributed materials and assistance, reflecting the true essence of bayanihan.
Beyond physical improvements, Brigada Eskwela 2026 became a platform for strengthening partnerships and fostering a deeper sense of ownership among members of the school community. The active participation of volunteers demonstrated a shared commitment to supporting education and ensuring that every learner begins the school year in an environment conducive to growth and success.
The week-long undertaking culminated in a closing program that celebrated the dedication and invaluable contributions of all volunteers, partners, and stakeholders who played a vital role in the success of the initiative. Certificates and tokens of appreciation were awarded as a gesture of gratitude for their unwavering support and service.
One of the highlights of the closing ceremony was the recognition of exemplary classroom preparation efforts through the Best Brigada Classroom Award. The distinction was awarded to Ma'am Cherie Pahit, Grade 10 Adviser, whose classroom stood out for its cleanliness, organization, creativity, and readiness for the upcoming school year. The recognition underscored the commitment of teachers to providing learners with a positive and engaging learning environment.
As Brigada Eskwela 2026 came to a close, the transformed classrooms and revitalized school grounds stood as visible reminders of what can be achieved when a community works together toward a common goal. More than a school preparation program, the activity served as a testament to the enduring spirit of volunteerism, cooperation, and shared responsibility that continues to define the Pinut-an National High School community.
With the school now ready to welcome learners, the success of Brigada Eskwela 2026 affirms that quality education begins not only inside the classroom but also through the collective efforts of individuals who believe in the power of unity and service in shaping a brighter future for every student.
