This one-of-a-kind custom Olympus inverted microscope is built on an IX-83 base and is designed for growth of phototrophs in situ with brightfield and fluorescence imaging over time.  It is capable of multichannel imaging up to 10 days thanks to drift compensation, temperature and atmosphere control using a Tokai-HIT control system, and imaging with 13 light sources (4 brightfield, 9 fluorescence).  Please contact Dr. Gates if you are interested in using the system.
