Lab-based research skills: experience in electrochemical methods and scanning electrochemical probe microscopy, hands-on probe fabrication experience, and training on various complementary analytical and surface characterization tools (XPS, SEM/EDX, Raman Spectroscopy, Micro-CT, profilometry).
Soft research skills: Regular oral presentation practice at weekly group meetings, direct interactions with industry partners and scientists, networking opportunities at local (1 per year) and international conferences/symposia (1 per graduate degree), and leadership opportunities (student council, society student chapters)
