Important Update from Mr. Page: Updating Your I-Pad's VPN

Hello students and families,

I hope this email finds you safe and well, despite all that is going on.

VPN Update

The Global Protect app has another update ready and is now at version 5.3-3. Please take care of this update as soon as possible by going to the LAUSD App Catalog (orange background, blue folder with an arrow and the LAUSD symbol), find and choose Global Protect. Click "Installed" or "Install" and a pop-up will appear. Click "install" one more time and the app will begin processing. It will take no more than two minutes for the app to update.

VPN Hack

For those of you having problems with the VPN connecting, you should be able to force a connection by the following steps:

1. Open "Settings" then click "General" and choose VPN from the right side of the screen (image 1)

2. Click the info button on the right side of screen (image 2)

3. Toggle off "Connect on Demand" (images 3 and 4)

4. Toggle on "Connect on Demand" (image 5)

5. Connection should work and screen will look like image 6.

Troubleshooting

Troubleshooting at King will only happen three days this week. Today between 8 and 2 pm, 8 and 1 pm on Wednesday, and 8 and 2 on Friday. Beginning September 21st troubleshooting will only occur on Mondays and Wednesdays.
