Why volunteer?
Our school would not be the wonderful place it is without YOU. There are many ways for all families to help the PTO. Whether you have the time to chair an event, or just an hour or two here and there to help out, your contribution makes a difference! Ongoing volunteer opportunities
Playground Parents is a fun way to get involved at Gaskill by running a ball game during recess, encouraging students to make new friends and teaching good sportsmanship. Sign up here.
If you would like to be added to the PTO distribution list for volunteer requests, please e-mail gaskillvolunteers@gmail.com. They will periodically send out requests for volunteers for all-school events (e.g. picture day, science fair).
Please contact your child's classroom teacher to learn about opportunities to volunteer in the classroom.
Register as an LPS volunteer
All volunteers must be registered as an LPS volunteer. LPS will complete a background check which will take a few days to process, so we encourage people to complete this step as soon as they know they'd like to volunteer. Volunteers can sign in or create an account here.
When you volunteer at school, please stop by the main office and sign in to LPS Connect before you head to your volunteering destination. Signing in not only helps ensure the safety of our school but allows the school staff to accurately track volunteer hours.
If you do volunteer work from home, sign into LPS Connect and log your hours online.
