This all-school read-a-thon helps to promote reading, drive school spirit, and raise important funds for our school.
To reach our school goal of $12,000, we are asking each student to set a goal of at least $25. The funds we raise are used to benefit all students (examples include: supporting staffing. providing a free book for every student at the Book Fair and supporting the Science Fair and the Creative Writing Contest).
From March 13 to April 5, students will be finding pledges for their reading. Students can earn individual and class prizes based on the amount of funds they raise and the number of minutes they raise. For any questions, please contact Katie Peshek.
Wednesday, March 13: All students will receive Gaskill t-shirts and reading logs to kick off the fundraiser.
Wednesday, March 20: Reading Day. Students will receive stickers and read in class. Please make sure students record their minutes!
March 25 – 29: Spring Break – keep reading!
Friday. April 5: Donations and final reading minutes due. We are asking for donations to be made online. For cash or checks: please include the student's name and give them to the front office.
Friday, April 12: Prize Day! Individual prizes will be sent home and classes will receive their classroom prizes.
