What is GA School Library Edcamp?

A free professional development event for school librarians in Georgia and beyond!

What exactly is an Edcamp?

It's an independently organized and hosted 'unconference' conference. An EdCamp agenda is created by the participants at the start of the event; sessions are not scheduled ahead of time like a traditional conference. Because content is participant-driven, attendees are encouraged to arrive with a willingness to share. It's a flexible, casual time to network with other librarians, share knowledge and expertise, and leave with new ideas and practical information.

What happens at GA School Library Edcamp?

During the first part of the camp, you will mingle with other attendees and settle in for the unconference. There will be an empty session board where participants post session topics. From this, a schedule of sessions is created and participants rotate through those sessions. There are no rules for topics - you decide what you want to learn. Topics can include but are not limited to: collaboration, collection development, literacies, OER, eResources, advocacy, standards, curriculum, programming, tech tools, MakerSpaces...
