Thank you for using "Gas Stations" ("the App"). Your privacy is important to us. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, store, and protect information when you use the App on iOS and Android devices.
1. Information We Collect
The App does not require account registration and we do not intentionally collect personally identifiable information for our own customer database. However, depending on how you use the App, the following information may be processed:
- Location data (with your permission): used to find nearby gas stations, show them on the map, calculate distances, and enable route optimization.
- Device and technical data: operating system version, device model, app version, language, and diagnostic information used to ensure the App works correctly.
- Subscription and purchase data: processed by Adapty and Apple App Store / Google Play when you subscribe to premium features, restore purchases, or start a free trial.
- Favorites and preferences: your favorite stations, preferred fuel type, distance units, and other settings are stored locally on your device.
- Usage data: anonymous analytics about how features are used (for example, price comparison, station reviews, ad-free experience usage) to improve the App.
2. How We Use Your Information
We use information only to provide and improve the App's features. Specifically, we use it to:
- Show nearby gas stations on the map based on your current location.
- Display real-time gas prices and enable price comparison tools.
- Provide route optimization to the stations you select.
- Track fuel savings and show station reviews and ratings.
- Manage premium subscriptions, free trials, and restore previously purchased subscriptions.
- Deliver an ad-free experience to premium users.
- Diagnose crashes, fix bugs, and improve overall stability and performance.
3. Third-Party Services
The App relies on trusted third-party services that may process limited data in accordance with their own privacy policies:
- Expo and Expo Application Services — app delivery, updates, and runtime services.
- Google Maps and Google Places API — displaying maps and searching for nearby gas stations.
- Adapty — managing in-app subscriptions, paywalls, trials, and restore purchases.
- Apple App Store and Google Play — processing payments and subscription billing.
- Firebase — analytics, crash reporting, and related platform services.
- Google APIs (googleapis) — supporting platform functionality where required.
We do not sell your personal information to any third party.
4. Data Storage
Most of your data — such as favorites, settings, and preferences — is stored locally on your device using secure on-device storage (AsyncStorage). Subscription information is handled by Adapty and the respective app store. Location data is processed in real time to find nearby stations and is not stored on our own servers.
5. Data Security
We take reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect your information. Communication with third-party services (such as Google Places and Adapty) is performed over secure HTTPS connections. However, no method of transmission or storage is 100% secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.
6. Children's Privacy
The App is not directed to children under the age of 13 (or the minimum age required in your jurisdiction). We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe that a child has provided us with personal information, please contact us so we can take appropriate action.
7. Your Rights
Depending on your location, you may have the right to access, correct, or delete personal information related to you, to restrict or object to certain processing, and to request data portability. Because the App stores most data locally on your device, you can clear this data at any time by removing favorites, changing settings, or uninstalling the App. For any request regarding your rights, you can contact us at damianziet@icloud.com.
8. Changes to This Privacy Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time to reflect changes in the App, in third-party services, or in applicable laws. When we make material changes, we will update the "Effective Date" above. Your continued use of the App after changes are posted constitutes acceptance of the updated Privacy Policy.
