BIOGRAFÍA ARTÍSTICA

Concibiéndose en 1992 en Tarapoto, parte de la selva exuberante del Perú donde ha vivido casi toda su vida, este nobel dibujante y profesional de la arquitectura, tuvo sus primeros trazos, bocetos y nociones artísticas en las aulas universitarias (2014), quedando de esta manera impregnadas en su sangre y sus manos el uso de técnicas de representación arquitectónica con el uso de estilógrafos, tinta, reglas, escuadras y acuarelas.

Varios años desde la época universitarias pasaron trabajando como arquitecto, y fue hasta finales en el año 2018 que el sentimiento artístico revivió, participando así en un reto mundial de dibujo a tinta que le sirvió para practicar y llenarse nuevamente de esa pasión por el arte. Él descubrió que la arquitectura y las artes van de la mano, desde entonces ambas son sus dos grandes pasiones de la vida.

A partir de ese momento y en adelante los dibujos y trazos no pararon, tal es así que hasta que a mediados del 2019 fue invitado a participar, junto a otros artistas amazónicos, en una Feria para Incentivar la Lectura, siento su primera muestra grupal exponiendo cuadros inspirados en cuentos de terror de Edgar Allan Poe, revelando su clara inclinación hacia el dibujo técnico expresando así perspectivas, puntos de fuga, proporción, lineismo y puntillismo.

Gary Roy junto a otros artistas amazónicos cofundó la Asociación de Artistas Plásticos de San Martín (ARTPLASAM) a fines el 2019, dentro del cual, se realizó la primera exposición multidisciplinaria artística “En Forma de Mujer” (inicio del 2020), en el que participó como organizador y expositor, mostrando retratos de féminas que de alguna manera influenciaron en su vida.

Actualmente el artista sigue siendo miembro activo de la ARTPLASAM participando en las actividades presenciales y virtuales que se organizan.

Borning in 1992 in Tarapoto, which is a part of the exotic jungle from Peru, where he has lived the biggest part of his life, this young drawer and professional in architecture, had his first sketches and senses of art when he studied in the university classrooms (2014), in this way the different techniques of architectural representation have been part of his blood and hands, such as the use of fountain pen, ink, rules, set square and watercolors.

Four years after the university period passed, working as an architect, when in the end of 2018 the art spirit revived, so he participated in whole world challenge about ink drawing, it worked in order to practice and being full of this passion for art. He discovered the architecture and the arts can be parts of a same passion.

Since this moment to the future, drawings and sketches haven’t stopped, in this way he was invited, in the middle of 2019, to participate among other amazon artists, to a Fair in order to Encourage Reading; it was his first group exhibition, sharing pictures inspired in terror tails by Edgar Allan Poe, revealing his clear trend to technical drawing, such as perspectives, vanishing points, proportions, lineism and pointillism.

Gary Roy among other amazon artists set up the Plastic Artists of San Martin Association (ARTPLASAN in Spanish) in the end of 2019, where was organized the first exhibition called “En forma de mujer” (In Woman Way, in the beginning of 2020), here he was involved as an organizer and participant, so Gary Roy shared different portraits about women who influenced him in his life.

Nowadays, the artist continues as an active member of the association, participating in virtual and face-to-face activities organized by ARTPLASAM.
