If I really trusted life
I would let go of the reigns
And allow it to take me wherever it goes
I would be a passenger on this journey
Looking out of the window, watching
As the shadows go by
Sometimes like a strobe light on my face
But I know it is only momentary
We speed along not knowing what's ahead
What will befall us
Trust the vehicle we’re in
Trust the driver who knows the path we are taking
Trust that we will reach our destination
For without this
Our journey would be one of discomfort
So close your eyes and give in to the rocking to and fro
The sway around corners
The rise and fall
Rest your weary head and fear not
Life will bring you what you set out to experience
And within this will be wondrous revelation
You asked to be on this journey
So look at it now and realise
The truth of letting go
All the while knowing
That where you’re heading, is perfect.
