Introduction

In this module, my aim is to create an asset showcasing my process and development through the pre-production research and planning through to the creation and presentation of a hero asset.

I intend to have a fully designed and developed asset which could be expanded upon and used within a game environment. Showing all aspects of my workflow and pipeline including the research, planning and initial sketching phase before further defining my design and asset into presenting the final outcome through presentation sheets. I will be using my journal to document my progression throughout the weeks of development and I will use it as a opportunity to demonstrate my pipeline through my chosen field of practice (Game Art) which will demonstrate by process that has culminated into my final hero asset project.

Conclusion

Whilst reflecting the successfulness of this study block. I believe that I have been able to complete my overall intended goals and outcome whilst also expanding and developing upon them further in this module and create and document my journey through though study block.

I have been successful in the creation of the hero asset I have researched and planned from my initial research and development, and have taken the workflow and pipeline process of a 3D model through to completion. Documenting my progression and using my critical reflective journal to examine and explain my choices and reasoning from the decisions that have been made. This module has allowed myself to use my artist skills and software knowledge to demonstrate my pipeline output in 3D art principles and create a asset that has importance and meaning behind its design which achieves the definition of what a hero asset is meant to represent.
