Hi, my name is Garrett, and these are my Stadium Travels! I have been watching professional sports live and on television for 15+ years, and gathering to watch my teams on a daily and weekly basis has been a really fun part of my life. Garrett Stadium Travel is my documentation of my passion for sports and live events
First, a little about me. My name is Garrett, I’m a Communications and Business Grad from Carleton University in Ottawa, Ontario. I played a bunch of different sports throughout my life. Most notably I played Ice Hockey for 13 years and Basketball for 6 years getting to play in Canadian National Tournaments. More recently, I have been learning how to play golf... still getting the hang of it.
Now onto what Garrett Stadium Travel is. Garrett Stadium Travel is the documentation of my journey to see all 124 North American Major Sports Franchises. That's MLB, NBA, NFL, NHL play in their respective home stadium/arena/ballpark. Some other rules are that you have to have seen each team in their current stadium. For example, if you saw the Yankees at old Yankee Stadium or the Clippers at Crypto.com Arena, then it no longer counts towards club 124. It's okay if an arena changes corporate sponsorship; it's the building itself that matters. By all means, use your own rules, but these are the ones I live by. It's a long, expensive, and tough journey, but I'm dedicating my life to completing it and I'm enjoying myself along the way.
Currently, I’m posting content in four different places. This website, Instagram, Tik Tok and YouTube. Each platform offers something different, so it caters to all media users. One thing I get asked is Why document it all? I'll be honest, it's mostly personal. I'm a person who loves to look back at old photos and videos from family vacations, holidays, and old school photos. Doing social media to create and archive my most cherished memories with friends and family. The other reason I do it is because of you. Maybe not you personally, but for anyone who wants to watch. I understand that travel is expensive, time-consuming and while going to stadiums and arenas around the US might be a dream and an aspiration, it's not always a reality. I get comments from people overseas saying how they want to come visit an NFL Stadium or a Ballpark, and my videos are the next best thing. That warms my heart and is a big driving force behind why I do this. Additionally, when people ask questions and use my videos as a guide for when they visit a certain stadium or arena. I have a deep knowledge and understanding of stadiums, and how the gameday experience operates both behind the scenes and on gameday from experience, both going to a lot of games in different cities and working at arenas and stadiums. I'm not trying to get famous with this, but if this kind of content is useful to a lot of people, then whatever happens, happens.
So, to anyone who is passionate about sports, stadiums, travel, etc., follow along with my journey. I'm checking off a bucket list, one stadium at a time. I hope to see you around!
