I cohost an education podcast with a fellow colleague and like-minded teacher, Luke Mooney (follow him on Twitter @Edumooney) . This podcast is a quest to find and share ideas, new insights and approaches to enhance the teaching and learning within their contexts, discover and uncover exciting methods and approaches in education and disrupt learning. We're not pretending to be experts by any stretch - but through our inquiring nature, we hope to ask the questions, discuss solutions, embrace failure and celebrate success for the benefit of everyone. Through this podcast, we hope sharing and discussing these and similar topics around teaching and education will provide thought and stimulus for other teachers.

It's been a while, we know! What with school reports and just the general business of school in general, we're all super busy at this time of year, not to mention the Canberra winter that really cools things down a bit. But we promise you it's been worth the wait.

This episode we explore Critical Thinking with Gary Slater, a US Marine and former school teacher. There's not a lot of us talking - just hanging off every word that Gary says. We know you'll take as much away from this conversation as we did.

Enjoy!

This week we had the chance to interview the current Deputy Director of Catholic Education, Archdiocese of Canberra & Goulburn, Mr Angus Tulley.

Angus is the type of leader that other educators love working for and students remember fondly. Within the ACT area, he is a highly regarded and revered leader of schools with almost 40 years experience in teaching.

We asked Angus about his thoughts on collaboration and innovation in schools, and what he thinks it takes to be an effective leader of schools, especially in a time of such rapid change.

In this episode we talk about the types of resources needed and sourced for our STEM spaces. We would really love to hear other people's opinions, thoughts and expereinces on this. What resources you have or want for STEM could be completely different from us, but absolutely necessary and appropriate within your context, style and curriculum.
