Software Scratch is introduced to the create story, Scratch is the world’s largest coding community for children and a coding language with a simple visual interface that allows people to create digital stories, games, and animations to enhance learning by visualization of the story. Scratch is designed, developed, and moderated by the scratch foundation. It is a drag-and-drop kind of programming language, no hard-core programming language is required to create a story. the designer can add motion, sound, events, control, and many other features to create a visually appealing story for kids to make them effective and efficient their learnings.
key takeaways: Work based on logical sequence, no programming language for story and game creation.

Orange software is introduced to data visualization and analytics, it is drag and drop-based machine learning platform, no programming language is required (though one can use python for operation), and the software is open source. the software interface has two parts, a workspace sheet and a widget section which consists primarily of data, transform, visualization, model, evaluation and unsupervised learnings, etc. According to your application, one can add other widgets like text mining and image analytics. It supports most of the machine learning algorithm
key takeaways: Programming free (drag and drop based), easy to use interface for the machine learning algorithm.
As a course work image analytics is done on orange, first a model is trained then test data is predicted, go through the following link, download the file and open this orange software.

6-3-5 brainstorming technique is introduced to populate ideas in respect of point of view of the problem, so in this technique 6 person write 3 ideas within 5 minutes and in the next round build upon the previous idea, the cycle goes on until all the idea is not populated in the sheet. after populating ideas, some ideas are selected for the decision matrix to check the relevance of the idea across different parameters like affordability, accessibility, flexibility, and others. so the highest point idea is selected as a solution for the problem.
key takeaways: Build upon previously populated ideas to refine them, weighted decision matrix.

Instructor : GurudevTinker cad is a free, web browser running software that is used to draw basic drawings and create a basic model for 3D printing, it is a subsidiary software of auto-desk, Tinker cad uses a simplified constructive solid geometry method of constructing models. A design is made up of primitive shapes that are either "solid" or "hole". Combining solids and holes together, new shapes can be created, which in turn can be assigned the property of solid or hole. In addition to the standard library of primitive shapes, a user can create custom shape generators using a built-in JavaScript editor.
Key-take away: Interactive software for 3d modeling, no prior knowledge required to create a model (except basic of planes visualization), a rich library of daily use products, not good for mechanical 3d modeling

Instructor : SunitaH5P is a free and open-source content collaboration framework based on JavaScript. H5P is an abbreviation for HTML5 Package and aims to make it easy for everyone to create, share and reuse interactive HTML5 content, Like adding questions, feedback, tips, and assessment (formative, learned something new and it is tested immediately). H5P is a completely free and open technology, licensed with the MIT license, though H5P SaaS (Paid H5P service) is supported for any LMS that supports LTI integration, like Canvas, Brightspace, Blackboard and Moodle and many others.
key-take away: free open source software, no need to learn html, can be used for formative assessment
Project link : questions are added in the video with feedback

Instructor : AlekhThree-dimensional printing (3-D printing), also known as Additive manufacturing (AM) is a process of joining materials to make objects from 3D model data, usually layer upon layer. It is basically a process of making three dimensional solid objects from a digital file. This is opposite of ‘Subtractive Manufacturing’which works on removal of material to create a desired object. It is similar to a man who cuts a stone to create a sculpture. The first working 3-D printer was created in 1984 by Charles W. Hull of 3-D Systems Corp.
Material can be used like of plastic wire (different grade), which melting point around 200 oC
Advantage of 3D printing:
Low cost: 3D printing is cheaper than traditional method of manufacturing. Cost of producing or manufacturing products using 3d printing technology is equal for small-scale and mass manufacturing. For example: China was able to able to construct 10 one storey houses at less than $5000 per house
Less Time: Printing of the 3D object can be done directly, differing from the traditional manufacturing where different components had to be joined to form the final product.
Efficiency: Generating prototypes with 3D printers is much easier and faster with 3D printing technology.
Increased Productivity: It enables quick production with a high number of prototypes or a small-scale version of the real object
Flexibility: Different materials can be used in the 3D models. This makes it very easy to create construction models or prototypes for a wide variety of projects within many industries.
Customization: Every item can be customized to meet a user’s specific needs without impacting the manufacturing costs.
Quality assurance: the technology builds robust products with superior functionality
Employment opportunities: The widespread use of 3d printing technology will increase the demand for engineers who are needed to design and build these printers and design blueprints of products.
Reduced wastage: AM process produces less waste in comparison with other traditional manufacturing techniques
Disadvantages/ Issues with 3D Printing:
Limited size: The size of objects created with 3d printers is currently limited
Limited Raw Materials: With 3D printing being an additive method (layer after layer), the materials available suited for it are limited- ceramics, resin, plastics, etc.
Effect on employment: Jobs in manufacturing will be rendered obsolete which will have a negative impact on developing economies.
Cyber security concerns: Studies have shown that the 3-D printer connected to online network is vulnerable to cyberattacks.
Ethical concerns associated with the use of 3D technology in healthcare:

Instructor : Daevesh singhCozmo toys are a robot that can be used to design a game/teaching method, to enhance learning based on the theory of game-simulation-based learning, the toys can collect 10 images and can show affective motions, these cosmos toys can be programmed with multiple programming languages (python, scratch, java, etc.) and drag-drop based also to design an easy game. The game based strategy increases the cognitive load in a gradual manner, so learners enjoy the learning and it's cognitive capacity increases, which enhances learning.
key takeaways: game-based learning improve the learning rate and increase the cognitive load in a fun manner.
