Garden Guard — Privacy Policy
Effective 20 September 2026
Garden Guard ("the game") is a single-player game for Android. This policy explains what information the game uses, where it goes, and the choices you have. The game has no accounts and no sign-in, and it never asks you for personal details.
WHAT STAYS ON YOUR PHONE
The following is saved only on your device, is never sent to us, and is deleted when you uninstall the game or clear its data:
• The name you type for yourself.
• Which levels you have cleared and the stars you earned.
• Whether you have music and sound switched on.
There is no cloud save. If you move to a new phone, your progress does not come with you unless Android restores the app data itself.
WHAT WE COLLECT
Nothing. We run no servers, no accounts and no analytics. We do not know who you are, we cannot see your progress, and no data from the game reaches us.
ADVERTISING
The game shows ads supplied by Google AdMob: a banner along the bottom of the screen, and occasionally a full-screen ad between levels, never during one. Ads are how the game pays for itself.
Because the game is for all ages, every ad request is marked as child-directed. That means the ads are NOT personalised: they are not chosen from your interests or your history, there is no interest-based advertising and no remarketing, and the game does not send Google your Android advertising ID. The permission that would allow it has been removed from the app.
To fill an ad slot at all, Google still receives some information from your device: its IP address (which gives a rough idea of country or city), the device and its settings, and whether the ad was seen or tapped. Google uses that to serve and measure the ad and to detect fraud. We never see it. We receive only anonymous totals of how many ads were shown.
What Google does with it is covered by Google's own privacy policy at https://policies.google.com/privacy and by https://policies.google.com/technologies/ads.
Because the game shows ads, it needs an internet connection for them. Without one it still plays in full; you simply see no ads.
YOUR ADVERTISING CHOICES
The ads in this game are already non-personalised, so there is nothing to opt out of. If you want to check or change what Android allows apps in general, that lives in Settings → Privacy → Ads (the exact path varies by phone).
Where the law requires a consent prompt — in the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom and Switzerland — one is shown, and your answer is remembered. You can reopen it any time from Settings in the game, under "Ad privacy options".
SHARING
If you tap Share, Android opens its own share sheet with a short message about your progress and a link to the game. Nothing is sent anywhere until you pick an app and send it yourself, and whatever you send is then handled by that app under its own privacy policy.
PERMISSIONS
The game asks for no permissions you have to approve. It does not use the camera, the microphone, contacts, files or precise location.
It declares internet access, which the ads need in order to load. It does not declare the advertising ID permission.
CHILDREN
The game is made for all ages, children included, and is set up to follow Google Play's Families policy: ads are non-personalised, their content is limited to a general-audience rating, and no advertising ID is collected.
The game asks for no personal information from anyone. The name you type is optional, stays on the device, and is never shown to another player or sent anywhere. If you believe a child has provided personal information through the game, please get in touch and we will look into it.
YOUR CHOICES IN THE GAME
Music and sound can be switched off at any time in Settings.
The name you type is optional — the game calls you "Gardener" if you leave it blank. You can change or clear it whenever you like.
To remove everything the game has saved, clear the app data in Android Settings, or uninstall the game.
CHANGES TO THIS POLICY
If the game gains a feature that handles data differently — cloud saves, for example, or a different ad provider — this policy will be updated before that version is released, and the effective date above will change.
