### Information Collected Automatically
- **Device Information**: Device type, operating system version (for app compatibility)
- **Usage Data**: App features used and crash reports (to improve the app)
## How Your Data Is Stored
### Local Storage (Default)
By default, all your data is stored **locally on your device** using an encrypted SQLite database. This means:
- Your data never leaves your device unless you enable cloud sync
- No internet connection is required to use the app
- Uninstalling the app will delete all local data
### Cloud Storage (Optional)
If you enable cloud sync with Firebase:
- Your data is synced to secure Firebase servers
- Data is encrypted in transit and at rest
- You can access your data across multiple devices
- You can delete your cloud data at any time
## How We Use Your Information
We use your information solely to:
- Provide the vehicle tracking and management features
- Sync your data across devices (if you enable cloud sync)
- Send maintenance and compliance reminders (if you enable notifications)
- Improve app performance and fix bugs
## Information We Do NOT Collect
- We do **not** sell your personal information
- We do **not** share your data with third-party advertisers
- We do **not** track your location
- We do **not** access your contacts, photos, or other device data (except vehicle photos you explicitly add)

If you choose to use cloud sync, we use Google Firebase for:

Garage Ledger is not intended for children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe we have collected information from a child under 13, please contact us.
