My name is Yaniv Ganor, I am a Lecturer in the Holon Institute of Technology, Israel.
Previously, I was a postdoctoral researcher in the Department of Mathematics in the Technion - Israel Institute of Technology. I work in symplectic geometry.
I did my Ph.D under the supervision of Prof. Leonid Polterovich, in The School of Mathematical Sciences in Tel Aviv University. My dissertation "Poisson Bracket Invariants in Symplectic Topology" can be found here.
My interests in symplectic topology are broad, and include Poisson bracket invariants, various flavors of Floer theory, Lagrangian submanifolds with their plethora of accompanying algebraic structures, and applications thereof to the study of symplectic rigidity phenomena.
I obtained my Master's degree in 2013, under supervision of Prof. Eugenii Shustin. My thesis, titled "Enumerating Cuspidal Curves on Toric Surfaces", deals with enumerating unicuspidal algebraic curves using tropical geometry.
