Effective date: 24 August 2026
This Privacy Policy explains how Game Maps ("the App", "we", "us", or "our") collects, uses, stores, and shares information when you download, install, or use the Game Maps mobile application. Game Maps is a mapping application that can display real-world maps in stylized, game-inspired appearances, search for places, save locations, and provide driving or walking directions.
By using the App, you acknowledge this Policy. If you do not agree, please do not use the App.
1. Who we are
Game Maps is published as an Android application under the package name com.bass.gamemaps. For privacy questions or requests, contact us through the in-app Contact Us form or at:
https://forms.gle/khoSBRt6pmPAGdMdA
2. Information we collect
We collect only what is needed to operate, secure, improve, and support the App.
2.1 Location information
If you grant location permission, the App may collect approximate and precise location (including GPS coordinates, heading, and related sensor data) while the App is in use. Location is used to show your position on the map, center the camera, search nearby places, calculate routes, and provide navigation guidance.
You may refuse or later revoke location permission in your device settings. Without it, map styling still works, but features that depend on your position will be limited or unavailable.
Location requests for maps, geocoding, nearby search, and directions are sent to our mapping provider so those features can function.
2.2 Information you provide in the App
The App may store on your device:
- saved places and coordinates you choose to save
- recent search terms and search results
- selected map theme and related display preferences
- flags such as whether you have rated the App or seen an offer
You can remove saved places and recent searches with Clear My Data in Settings. That action applies to this device and does not delete records held independently by Google Play, payment processors, or other third parties listed below.
2.3 Search and routing data
When you search for an address or place, or request directions, the query, language, and (if available) a proximity coordinate are sent to Mapbox so results and routes can be returned. We do not use that content to build a public profile of you.
2.4 Device, diagnostics, and usage data
The App and its service providers may collect:
- device and operating system information
- app version
- language and country or region settings
- network connectivity status
- crash logs, performance traces, and diagnostic events
- in-app events related to subscriptions and purchases (for example, viewing a plan, starting checkout, a successful purchase, or a failed purchase)
This data is used to keep the App stable, measure performance, and understand which features are used.
2.5 Advertising identifier and attribution
The App may access the Google advertising identifier on your device, and may receive install-attribution information (such as the Google Play Install Referrer). This helps us understand how the App was installed and measure campaigns. You can reset or limit the advertising identifier in your Android settings.
2.6 Purchases and subscriptions
If you buy a subscription or a lifetime unlock, billing is processed by Google Play. We use RevenueCat to validate entitlements, restore purchases, and determine whether premium map styles and 3D maps are unlocked.
We do not receive or store your full payment card number. Google and RevenueCat may process purchase tokens, product identifiers, transaction identifiers, and entitlement status. Manage, cancel, or request refunds for Play purchases through Google Play, subject to Google's policies.
2.7 Remote configuration
We use Firebase Remote Config to deliver non-personal configuration (for example, feature flags or whether certain content is available). This may involve a device instance identifier used by Firebase.
2.8 Information we do not require
The App does not require you to create an account, and we do not ask for your name, email address, or password as a condition of basic use. If you contact us through the support form, we receive whatever information you choose to submit.
3. How we use information
We use information to:
- provide maps, search, directions, and navigation
- remember your saved places and preferences on the device
- unlock and restore premium features you purchased
- measure stability, performance, and subscription funnels
- detect abuse, fraud, or technical problems
- comply with law and enforce our Terms of Use
- communicate about support requests you send us
4. Legal bases (where applicable)
If data-protection law in your country requires a legal basis, we rely on:
- performance of a contract: providing the App features you request
- legitimate interests: security, diagnostics, product improvement, and understanding installs, balanced against your rights
- consent: optional permissions such as precise location, and advertising-identifier use where consent is required
- legal obligation: when we must retain or disclose information to comply with the law
You may withdraw consent for optional permissions in device settings. Withdrawal does not affect processing already carried out.
5. How we share information
We do not sell your personal information.
We share information with service providers who process it on our behalf or as independent controllers, only as needed to run the App:
- Mapbox, Inc., for map tiles, geocoding, search, and directions
- Google LLC (including Google Play, Play Billing, Firebase Analytics, Firebase Crashlytics, Firebase Performance Monitoring, and Firebase Remote Config)
- RevenueCat, Inc., for in-app purchases and subscription status
- Google advertising and install-referrer services, for attribution as described above
These parties have their own privacy policies. We encourage you to read them.
We may also disclose information if required by law, legal process, or governmental request; to protect the rights, safety, or property of users, the public, or us; or in connection with a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets, with appropriate safeguards.
6. Retention
On-device preferences, saved places, and recent searches remain until you clear them, uninstall the App, or the operating system deletes app data.
Analytics, crash, performance, purchase, and mapping-provider logs are retained by those providers according to their own retention schedules and our configuration with them. We keep support correspondence for as long as needed to resolve your request and for a reasonable period afterwards for record-keeping.
7. Security
We use reasonable technical and organizational measures appropriate to a consumer mobile app, including transport encryption for network requests made by the App and by standard third-party SDKs. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure. You use the App at your own risk in that respect.
8. International transfers
Our service providers may process information in the United States and other countries. Those countries may not provide the same legal protections as your home country. Where required, we rely on appropriate transfer mechanisms used by those providers (such as standard contractual clauses).
9. Your rights
Depending on where you live, you may have the right to access, correct, delete, or restrict personal information, to object to certain processing, to withdraw consent, and to lodge a complaint with a supervisory authority.
Because most App content lives on your device, the fastest way to delete on-device saved places and recent searches is Settings, then Clear My Data, or uninstalling the App.
For advertising identifier controls, use Android settings.
For Play purchases, use your Google account and Google Play.
To request assistance with information that may be held by us or that we can reasonably obtain from a provider, use the Contact Us form. We may need enough detail to locate the relevant records. We will not honor requests that are unlawful, abusive, or would compromise other users or our security.
If you are in California or another region with similar laws, we do not sell personal information and we do not share it for cross-context behavioral advertising except as described for the advertising identifier and attribution tools above. You may opt out of advertising-identifier use through device settings.
10. Children
The App is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided personal information, contact us and we will take reasonable steps to delete it. Parents and guardians should supervise device permissions, including location.
11. Third-party links and maps
The App displays map data and may open external pages (privacy policy, terms, support form). Those services are not controlled by us. Their privacy practices are governed by their own policies.
Map styles in the App are visual themes. They are not official products of any video-game publisher. Third-party map and search data may contain errors.
12. Changes to this Policy
We may update this Policy from time to time. The effective date at the top will change when we do. Continued use of the App after an update means you accept the revised Policy. Material changes will be reflected in the document we publish at our privacy policy URL.
13. Contact

You may also use Contact Us inside the App (Settings).
This Policy should be read together with the Game Maps Terms of Use.
