This Privacy Policy explains how Game Emulator ("Game Emulator," "the App," "we," "us," or "our") handles information when you use the App.
1. Overview
Game Emulator is a local-first Game Boy Advance emulator app. The App is designed to run on your device using compatible files that you choose to import.
The App does not provide games, ROM files, BIOS files, game downloads, cloud game libraries, user accounts, advertising, analytics, tracking, or cloud sync.
2. Information We Do Not Collect Through the App
We do not collect, transmit, sell, rent, or share personal information through the App.
The App does not collect:
- your name, address, phone number, or account information;
- precise or approximate location;
- contacts, photos, videos, camera data, or microphone recordings;
- advertising identifiers or tracking identifiers;
- analytics data about gameplay or app usage;
- ROM files, BIOS files, save files, save states, screenshots, thumbnails, or settings from your device.
The App does not use third-party advertising SDKs, analytics SDKs, tracking SDKs, or third-party crash reporting SDKs.
3. Local Data Stored on Your Device
To provide its core functionality, the App stores certain data locally on your device, including:
- ROM files that you choose to import;
- game library metadata, such as game title, file name, import date, favorite status, and last played date;
- battery save data;
- save states and save-state thumbnails;
- app preferences, control settings, display settings, and other local configuration data.
This data is used only to operate the App on your device. It is not transmitted to us.
4. User-Provided Files
The App does not provide, host, sell, link to, or download ROM files, BIOS files, games, or copyrighted game content.
You are solely responsible for the files you import into the App. You should import only files that you own or are legally authorized to use.
5. Customer Support
If you contact us by email, we may receive your email address and any information you choose to include in your message. We use this information only to respond to your request, provide support, maintain support records, improve the App, and comply with legal obligations.
Please do not send us ROM files, BIOS files, save files, passwords, payment information, government identification numbers, or other sensitive information.
6. Third Parties
We do not share your local game files, save data, settings, or gameplay information with third parties.
Apple may process information related to App Store downloads, purchases, updates, device-level diagnostics, crash logs, or other Apple services according to Apple's own privacy policies and your device settings. Those Apple services are not controlled by us.
7. Data Retention
Local App data remains on your device until you delete it, delete individual games or save states in the App, or uninstall the App. Uninstalling the App may remove local App data according to iOS behavior.
Support emails may be retained for as long as reasonably necessary to respond to your request, maintain business records, resolve disputes, improve the App, and comply with legal obligations.
8. Deletion and Privacy Choices
Because the App does not transmit your local App data to us, we cannot access or delete local App data on your behalf.
You can delete local App data by:
- deleting imported games in the App;
- deleting save states in the App;
- uninstalling the App from your device.

9. Security
The App relies on iOS device security and local app storage protections. However, no method of storage is completely secure. You are responsible for maintaining your device security and keeping backup copies of files and save data that are important to you.
10. Children's Privacy
The App is not intended to collect personal information from anyone, including children. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided us personal information through a support request, please contact us and we will take appropriate steps to delete it.
11. International Users
If you contact us, your support communication may be processed in the country where we or our email service providers operate. By contacting us, you understand that your message may be processed outside your country of residence.
12. Changes to This Privacy Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. If we make material changes, we will update the "Last updated" date and make the revised policy available in the App or on our website.
