Knuckles is an echidna warrior who has sworn to keep his promise to his father, to find and protect the chaos emerald. Even though he may look threatening, he is very unaware of his surroundings and is a lot more curious about stuff outside his comfort zone like gadgets and machinery as he has spent most of his life in Angel Island with the echidna tribe but it doesn't make him deluded, just makes him unaware.
