Galveston Gardening Lecture Series
This series of 4 lectures features a broad range of knowledgeable speakers, sharing their gardening insights and experiences. Topics will focus on adapted plant materials for our area, sustainable maintenance practices and much more. Each presentation will be followed by an informal diagnostic session, where participants can bring in “plant problems” for evaluation, and care recommendations.
OLLI members may attend any or all of these lectures. There is no charge to current members for this informative OLLI Lecture Series Event.

Galveston Gardening Plant Swap
Following the last lecture, we will conduct a plant swap. Bring a plant along and exchange it with something new, different and/or unique. Don’t have a plant to swap? No problem – there’s usually enough to go around.

The loss of over 40,000 trees following Hurricane Ike dramatically changed Galveston’s landscape.
