Galpirok values your privacy. This policy explains how information is handled in Galpirok for Android free version 1.0.
1. Scope
This policy applies to the Galpirok Android app distributed through Google Play.
Developer and data controller: AlchanLabs
Privacy contact: alchanlabs.dev@gmail.com
2. Automatic Collection by the App
Galpirok for Android does not require registration or sign-in. The app itself contains no feature that automatically sends your name, email address, phone number, location, advertising identifier, usage data, or diagnostics to the developer. Payment, advertising, analytics, user tracking, and developer-server sync are not included in free version 1.0.
3. Local Storage
Books, bookmarks, pages, text, and photos added to the app are stored in app-only storage on your Android device. Galpirok does not automatically send this content to Google Drive, the developer's servers, or any other external server, and the developer cannot access it. Android operating-system cloud backup is disabled for the app.
4. Free Version 1.0 Limits
Free version 1.0 supports up to 3 books and 3 bookmarks per book, with unlimited pages. There is currently no payment feature. A one-time limit unlock and Android-to-Android sync are planned for a future version but are not available now. If released, Google Play and in-app notices will explain the features and this policy will be updated.
5. Photos and Camera
The camera is used only when you choose to take a new photo. The photo-selection feature imports only the photos you choose. If you pick a cloud photo, such as one from Google Photos, in the Android photo picker, Android and that service deliver it to the device; Galpirok does not access that account or any photo you did not choose. Imported or captured photos are resized to save space and stored on the device with page content, and original details such as the location where a photo was taken are not kept. Galpirok and the developer do not upload or view them.
6. App PIN and Device Authentication
Page locking checks authentication before viewing protected content or performing protected actions in the app. It does not encrypt page contents or exported backup files.
Biometric information and device credentials are processed by the Android operating system. Galpirok and the developer do not collect or store them.
7. Manual Android Backup
When you choose Android backup in Settings, you can export or import your library as a JSON file, up to 32 MB including photos. Export options let you include Trash or create a text-only backup without photos. You choose the destination or source file using Android’s system file picker. If you choose a cloud provider such as Google Drive as the destination, that provider stores and processes the file under its own privacy policy. This is a user-initiated manual export, not automatic synchronization.
JSON backups are not encrypted. Exporting locked content or older Trash photos with unknown lock status requires app PIN or device authentication. Lock PINs and device-authentication credentials are not included. Imported pages are restored unlocked. Anyone who can access the backup file may be able to read its contents. Keep backups private and delete unwanted external copies yourself.
8. System Sharing, Receiving Shares, and Gallery Saving
When you choose Galpirok from another app's share menu (such as your gallery or browser), Galpirok receives only the text and photos that app passes and saves them on the device as a new page. This content is not sent to any external server and is received only when you initiate the share.
When you choose to share page text or a photo, Galpirok passes that content to the Android share sheet. For photo sharing, the app creates a temporary on-device cache file and grants the receiving app you select read-only access through Android FileProvider. The information is then sent only to the app or service you select, and that service's privacy policy applies.
When you choose to save a photo to the gallery, Galpirok writes the selected photo to your device's media library (MediaStore). Sharing and gallery saving occur only when you initiate them. Galpirok and the developer do not send your content to a destination you did not choose.
9. Optional Support Contact
Support is optional. If you contact support by email or through the support page, you may provide your reply address, device model, Android version, app version, error description, and anything you choose to attach. This information is used only to investigate and reply, retained for up to one year from receipt, and can be deleted earlier on request. Google or your chosen email provider's privacy policy may apply during the contact process.
10. Retention, Trash, and Deletion
Deleted books, bookmarks, pages and photos move to Trash. Items older than 30 days are cleaned up when the app starts or becomes active again. The app does not perform background deletion at exactly the 30-day mark while it is not running. Before expiry, you may restore items or permanently delete them. If saving fails, follow the in-app message to retry saving.
If the library cannot be opened and you choose Start fresh on the recovery screen, the original files and photos are preserved separately in recovery storage within the app’s private storage. These recovery copies are not subject to the ordinary 30-day Trash cleanup and remain until you delete them in Settings. You can authenticate to export the originals as a ZIP file or permanently delete the recovery copies. The ZIP is for manual recovery and cannot be imported as a regular JSON backup. It may contain locked or previously deleted content and is not encrypted. If you select a cloud destination in the system file picker, that provider’s privacy policy applies.
Uninstalling the app generally removes its private data, including the current library and recovery copies. Export anything you need before uninstalling. External JSON or ZIP backups, photos saved to the gallery, and content shared to other apps are not deleted by Trash cleanup, deleting recovery copies, or uninstalling Galpirok. Manage and delete those copies separately at their respective locations or services.
11. Sale, Advertising, Analytics, and Third-Party Disclosure
Galpirok does not sell personal information or share it for targeted advertising. The free version does not include advertising, analytics, tracking, developer-server synchronization, or third-party disclosure. Information is shared with another app or service only when you explicitly initiate Android system sharing, gallery saving, manual backup export, or exporting recovery originals. The selected app or service’s privacy policy applies to that transfer.
12. Children's Privacy
The app does not automatically collect personal information and does not intentionally collect personal information from children. A parent or guardian who learns that a child sent personal information to support may request its deletion.
13. Changes to This Policy
This policy may be updated if app features, paid limit unlocking, sync, or applicable law changes. Updates will be announced in the app and on the published Android privacy-policy page.
