New stillness beyond my old window as this grey(ing) day is moved to Heaven's tears. First bird-songs return to fill the trees, gone white again with "grief". With poems sung of a long Winter's end & feathers grey as February rain, the old Mocking- bird returns to my back gate [just after waking]. What wind spoken prayers will grace those barren trees-still black with Autumn's departure? One crow beyond my cold Window; Solitary [too] the snow -flakes, turning. Steps assured but nearly skating homeward around the icy bend of lost meadow/ Now glistening upon the white & blood bright as life, a forgotten Christmas bow. From Light & Shadow 1/21-22/2010 Photograph with a digital effect 2010 by T. Byron K.

Silver spider silks and the smell of dying flowers, as a cold wind picks up beyond a whisper of blood/ Hidden bird songs lift into last blue of September. Time lost Last light/ The Beginning of the End. 9/30/2006 From Light & Shadow Photograph with digital art 2010 by T. Byron K.
