This Privacy Policy explains how Gallery ("the App"), made by NEXUS SOL ("we", "us", "our"), handles information when you use the App. By using the App, you agree to this policy and to the Terms & Conditions below.
1. Our Approach to Your Data
The App is designed to work on your device. We do not ask you to create an account, and we do not collect your name, email address, phone number or contacts. Content you store in the App stays on your device unless you choose to share it.
2. Your Photos and Videos
The App needs access to your photos and videos to show and organize them. Viewing, organizing, editing, image labeling and map display all happen on your device. We do not upload, collect, store or share your photos or videos. They only leave your device if you choose to share them with another app.
3. Photo Location and Map View
Many photos contain location information (latitude and longitude) saved by your camera when the photo was taken. The App reads this information from your photos so it can show them on a map.
- Photo locations are read and used only on your device. We do not collect, store or share them.
- We do not track your current location. The App does not use GPS or your device's location services.
- The map is provided by Google Maps. To display the map, your device loads map data from Google, which may receive information such as your IP address and the area of the map you are viewing. This is covered by the Google Privacy Policy: https://policies.google.com/privacy
- If you don't want a photo shown on the map, you can remove its location in your camera or photo settings, or deny the photo location permission. The App will still work, but the map view will not show your photos.
4. After-Call Quick Access
When a phone call ends, the App can show a small screen over other apps with quick options, such as your recent photos and videos and adding a reminder. To do this, the App only needs to know that a call has ended.
- The App does not record calls or access call content.
- The App does not read phone numbers, contacts or call logs.
- No call-related information is collected, stored or shared.
- The quick-access screen is shown only after a call ends, and it does not track what you do in other apps.
- You can turn this feature off at any time in the App's settings.
5. Information We Collect Automatically
To keep the App working and to show ads, the App and its third-party services may automatically collect:
- Device information, such as device model, operating system version, language and screen size
- App usage information, such as screens viewed, features used and session length
- Crash and performance reports
- Advertising ID, used for ads and ad measurement
- Approximate location based on IP address, used by ad networks to show relevant ads
This information does not include your photos, videos or photo locations.
6. Permissions We Use
We only ask for a permission when a feature needs it. You can change permissions at any time in your device settings.
- READ_MEDIA_IMAGES and READ_MEDIA_VIDEO (Android 13 and above): to show your photos and videos.
- READ_EXTERNAL_STORAGE (Android 12 and below): to show your photos and videos on older Android versions.
- WRITE_EXTERNAL_STORAGE (Android 9 and below): to save, move or delete files on older Android versions.
- ACCESS_MEDIA_LOCATION: to read the location saved inside your photos so they can be shown on the map. This location never leaves your device.
- INTERNET, ACCESS_NETWORK_STATE and ACCESS_WIFI_STATE: to load the map and ads, and to check whether you are online.
- READ_PHONE_STATE: only to know when a phone call ends, so the App can show the After-Call Quick Access screen. The App does not read phone numbers, call logs, call content or device identifiers.
- SYSTEM_ALERT_WINDOW (display over other apps): to show the After-Call Quick Access screen with your recent photos and videos and a reminder option. It is shown only after a call ends and does not track what you do in other apps.
- POST_NOTIFICATIONS: to send you notifications and reminders. You can turn these off at any time in your device settings.
- RECEIVE_BOOT_COMPLETED: to restore scheduled reminders and notifications after your device restarts.
- AD_ID: to show ads and measure ad performance.
