I am a behavioural biologist with a predominant focus on animal communication. I received my PhD from University of Vienna where I was advised by Prof. Dr. Thomas Bugnyar.
Currently, I work as a Postdoctoral Research fellow at The Wheatcroft Lab, Dpt. of Zoology, Stockholm University.
In the last years, I addressed questions ranging from social cognition to conservation of endangered species, using common ravens and Darwin´s Finches as model species, respectively.
My current research projects aim to understand the consequences of geographical variation in pied flycatcher male song (Ficedula hypoleuca) across Europe. Additionally, together with Dr. David Wheatcroft, we initiated a research project where we explore the adaptations of Spanish wild field cricket males to traffic noise and the potential trade-offs on individual fitness.
