Involvement in PTA is strongly encouraged. As parents, guardians, teachers and members of our community unite and work together, more can be done to help enhance the day-to-day lives of our students here on Gallatin’s campus. Through volunteering, becoming a member, participating in fundraisers, YOU can make a difference. Every program our PTA sponsors helps support the school and all it does to educate and enrich the lives of our students. Please consider joining us in Gallatin PTA – voice your opinions, share your suggestions and be heard!
All Gallatin Parents, Teachers, Staff, and Students are always welcome to attend any and all of our Association Meetings.
The Gallatin PTA invites you to join us for our monthly meetings in the cafeteria on the second Tuesday of each month at 7:00 p.m. throughout the school year. Meeting dates for 2024/2025 are:
Any future changes to the meeting schedule will be recorded in the PTA meeting minutes and posted on the website or on the school board.
Minutes are taken at every PTA meeting; at the next meeting we approve the minutes.
Gallatin PTA invites you to join us and become a participating member for the 2024-2025 school year. PTA is the largest organization of its kind dedicated to advocacy on behalf of children and public schools. Becoming a PTA member does not require you to volunteer, attend meetings or join a committee, but we hope you will consider doing so! By joining PTA, you’re simply saying,“Yes, I support our children and public schools!”

WHY JOIN PTA?
The number-one reason to join the Parent Teacher Association is to benefit your child. In doing so, you also help your school. But there are many more advantages. Here are just a few:
Get Connected. There’s no better way to know what’s happening in your school.
Discover Great Resources. The PTA offers a variety of programs designed for parents as well as students.
Tap into a Network. PTA functions provide opportunities to meet other parents and teachers, build rapport and discuss parenting issues that are on your mind.
Watch yourself Grow. By volunteering with your PTA, you gain valuable experiences and personal confidence. It’s an opportunity to put your skills and hobbies to good use for a good cause.
Speak Up. Because PTA is a forum for exchanging ideas, you are encouraged to make suggestions and more effectively suggest change at your child’s school.
Help Your Child Succeed. PTA fosters parent involvement. Parent involvement has been proven by three decades of research to be the greatest predictor of student success.
Witness Improvement. By getting involved at your child’s school you’ll be part of the solution, helping to make positive changes. Local PTAs play an important role in fundraising to provide building improvements, curriculum-based programs, social events – all vital to a school’s success.
Be a Role Model. By becoming a PTA member, you’ll be demonstrating to your child the importance you place on education.
By becoming a PTA member, the California State PTA offer additional benefits to your membership. Please click the link to see those Member Perks!

As a parent, one of the most rewarding activities you can perform is to volunteer for the PTA. Regardless of how much time you have available, there will always be a spot just perfect for you in helping PTA bring programs and support services to Gallatin.
Parents help the teachers in the classroom, help with programs, events and activities help to enrich the education, cultural, and social experience of our children but none of these will be possible without the help of volunteers.
