OVERVIEW

The 2 days Serengeti National Park safari is one of the greatest short safari packages based within Tanzania’s Northern circuit. Your trip begins from the Island of Zanzibar and involves a direct flight to Serengeti with rich views of gazelles, zebras, Topis, lions, wildebeests, leopards, black rhinos, Defassa waterbucks, Cape buffaloes, elephants, zebras, impalas and many others expected.

This trip also rewards travelers with one of the best wildlife experiences on earth involving exodus of wildebeest, gazelles and zebras across the sweeping plains of Serengeti to the adjacent Masai Mara National Reserve in neighboring Kenya.

Itinerary Highlights.

Day 1: Zanzibar Hotel pick-up and flight to Serengeti National Park.

Depart your hotel in Zanzibar at 5am for a transfer to the Airport.  Finalize the necessary check-in procedures and take a flight to Seronera Airstrip in Serengeti National Park where you will see the highest concentrations of big five animals, antelopes, birds and unique big cats among others. This flight takes about 1 hour 30 minutes to 2 hours and on arrival at the Airstrip, a team of tour guides with a comfortable 4WD Safari vehicle and other necessary requirement (including packed Lunch) will be waiting to welcome and introduce you for the safari and take you through the first activity of the day.

The commonest animals during the Serengeti game drive are Topis, Grant’s gazelles, African bush elephants, lions, Masai giraffes, common elands, zebras, impalas, warthogs, wildebeests, Cape buffaloes, Dik-dik, Hippos, Hyraxes, Greater kudu and many others.

Also, the Lichtenstein’s hartebeests, jackals, caracals, Klipspringers, serval cats and Nile crocodiles can be spotted during the game drive although occasionally while the African wild dogs and Black rhinos are rarely seen. After this guided and informative game drive, you will be driven to your booked accommodation for dinner and overnight.

Day 2: Morning game drive and flight back to Zanzibar

Have breakfast then follow the well-maintained game tracks through the sweeping savannah plains of Serengeti National Park with occasional stops at wildlife-rich areas of the Park. Continue with the guided game drive rewarding more views of previously missed wildlife species while heading to Seronera airstrip for your flight back to Zanzibar Airport. From here you will either continue to the booked Hotel or your trip back home. This marks the end of your 2 days Serengeti National Park Safari.
