We’re excited about the group of vendors we share our Saturday’s with and would love to offer new products, fill in gaps, and provide enough stock for all our customers. Currently, we’re looking for produce growers, and bakers!

Please consider some of the following, and if you’re interested in selling at our market, complete the form at the end of the page. Depending on the type of product, you might be asked to provide samples before becoming an approved vendor.

Basics

There are no fees for selling at the market.
You’re responsible to follow regulations set by the state.
Generally, we allow no more than 1-2 booths to sell the same products, depending on the demand.
Each carport can hous up to two booths. Booths are assigned weekly.
A vehicle can be pulled into the carport for easy setup and stock accessibility.
You’re responsible to supply your own table, displays, and signage.
Electric is available, extension cord(s) not provided.
Reselling is NOT allowed unless approved by a market coordinator. You are expected to grow or make the products you sell.
Vendors must be approved before selling at the market.

Food Regulations & Food Safety Best Practices

There are quite a few exceptions when it comes to selling food at the market, but we do follow the rules and regulations set by the state at our market. Review their publication to see what needs licensing or certifications.

Produce doesn’t need labeled, but if you bake or combine two or more ingredients, you will need to label your products. Learn what to include on your label.

Sales Taxes

Vendors are required to collect sales tax. Our market can provide an event sales tax form for you to submit sales tax with, if you’re unregistered with the state. You will keep a record of the sales tax you collect, and submit the total collected one time at the end of the market season. You have 30 days from the last day of the market to submit your event sales tax form.

As of January 1, 2025, Kansas has reduced the state food sales tax rate to 0%. County and Galena city tax still apply (2.5% combined). Please note that there are regulations as to what the food tax reduction applies to, and all other products are subject to 9% sales tax, which includes county and city sales tax.

If you’re registered with the state, you can submit your sales tax using your own sales tax ID.
