Che-Ming (Galen) Kuo

About me

I am a optimization and data analyst in department of intelligent analytic technology division at Computational Intelligence Technology Center(CITC) in Industrial Technology Research Institute(ITRI) since 2017.

Besides, I have developed and maintained a side project about power supply strategy optimization result from differences of energy spot price among power generators since 2017 at LMPMARKET PTE. LTD., Singapore with Dr.Yen-Shong Chiao.

Prior to joining ITRI, I obtain my MS in Industrial Engineering at National Taiwan University(NTU), advised by Prof. Kwei-Long Huang. Also, I attended and earned 20+ credits on Master Level in Industrial Management at National Taiwan University of Science and Technology(NTUST). Before that, I did my undergraduate studies at National Yunlin University of Science and Technology

Research interests

My research interests lie in combinatorial optimization(such as scheduling), linear programming, operation research and approximation algorithms. I am also passionate about some reasoning fields including game theory, machine learning, statistics, applied probability and their connections to optimization. A main goal of my research is to understand the trade-off between statistical efficiency, computational efficiency, and robustness for fundamental problems in optimization algorithm.
