Apologies if the title is confusing, essentially I am posting a chart that details the most likely sociotypes for any mbti or enneagram type combination. I am basing this on the knowledge of both personality theories in question, and I have no statistics or empirical evidence for this (to which I would say is rather impossible to find anyway). I am obviously subject to scrutiny and critique based on my placements, but that is but a sad inevitability. Without further ado...
Some notes on the key I used:
Common = Expected and usual typing, you can see examples of these everywhere. They make for 'stereotypes' in many cases but not always.
Uncommon = Unexpected typing but not especially profound. You can generally find a number of examples. They generally tend to be more unique subjects.
Rare = (UPDATED SECTION) Rare is somewhat of an anomaly category for me. Either the examples I believe are highly contested, combos that are generally deemed as 'safe' but do not sit right with me, or just combos that are accepted as categorically 'rare'. Either way, I believe the frame of debate for these combinations is open and fair within the Overton window.
Impossible = Blanket term for either a typing that is extremely unlikely, or downright impossible. I did not list a single combination here that has at least one solid example in real life (at least known to me).
I would also like to note that I am not 'ranking' them within the category. For instance, when I have "SEE, SEI, ESE", I am not listing the typing probability in that specific order (it is NOT the case that it is SEE>SEI>ESE), but rather just a collective category of types that have similar probabilities.
Vital Note: These charts are subject to being edited over and over in the course of time. I think the version you see now is the 4th or 5th published version over the course of fewer than two months. Debating each of my placements is certainly possible, with very few combinations I think anyone would agree can be 'nailed down' perfectly. I do not proclaim this chart is supposed to be universal but simply an extrapolation of my mind and how I view socionics combinations when I see them on any PDB entry or when a user shows what their types are. I am sure many will create their own charts in protest and I welcome it as long as people are civil and reasonable
Vital Note #2: These examples are only based on real-world examples. Fictional examples are not arguments or counterarguments for or against any type combination. I remade the original chart to keep this in mind, and added an enneagram chart as an update.
