The galaxy contains everything, from molecules to suns to black holes, every creature and structure is in the galaxy. the galaxy is the group of everything, including non-objects and even the mysterious and scary dark matter. the galaxy's radius is thought to be around 300 light mills(56 light mills for non-dark matter stuff). a light mill is the distance covered by light in a millennium which is massive, around 9.461e+18 meters. but everything ages, even the galaxy.

WTF:

why does the galaxy look so wierd? well... when things get to a certain size, they start to get weird, you can never tell why stuff will look weird and not look weird at this size. The galaxy looks like a spiral because things orbit in a circle and the purple spirals of the galaxy are "traffic jams" and they move in the opposite direction of the galaxy's real movement. the galaxy spins really slowly, it will take 500,000 millenniums to make 1 rotation. also, suns near the center of mass revolve around at the same speed as suns from the edges because of dark matter.

Origin:

The origin of the galaxy is not completely known but there is some theories of how the galaxy started. at the beginning, there was nothing, but quark-anti-quark pairs(mesons) popped into existence and then annielated because matter anielates antimatter if they are the same particle's counterpart. but if something separates these quarks, they will not disapear, and that is how you can make land from nothing. if 2 mesons come close to each other, then they can separate the quarks and anti-quarks and prevent annialation but it is rare and it may take the galaxy about 1,000,000,000,000 millenniums to form.
