This privacy policy applies to the GALALink mobile application and any related services (collectively, the "Application") operated by Jorge Gutierrez (the "Service Provider").
Our platform serves as a two-sided travel marketplace connecting independent Tour Guides (service providers) and Travel Agencies / Explorers (service consumers). We value your privacy and believe in transparent data minimization.
No Registration Required for Browsing: Agencies and general users can access the Application natively as guests. You do not need an account to browse marketplace listings, look at travel packages, view Tour Guide bios, or view general public ratings.
Account-Based Actions: To perform transactions—such as booking a specific tour guide or exchanging direct messages—Agencies will be prompted to create an account. We collect basic account credentials like Name, Email, Age, and Gender to process reservations securely.
Optional Coordination Data: Phone Numbers and Hotel/Physical Addresses are strictly optional for consumer accounts. If provided by an Agency, they are used solely to coordinate physical trip logistics, hotel pickups, emergency updates, and billing documentation.
Mandatory Verification Onboarding: Because Tour Guides provide professional consumer services, anonymous participation is not permitted. Guides must select the "Tour Guide" role at launch, authenticate via OTP, and complete an onboarding registration.
Data Collected: In addition to basic profile details (Name, Email, Age, Gender), the Application processes credentials related to professional verification, background screening data, and availability scheduling to securely operate the provider side of the marketplace.
When you use the Application, certain technical data may be automatically captured to maintain application stability, trace bugs, and analyze system performance:
Your device's Internet Protocol (IP) address.
App diagnostic metrics (crash logs, device model, and operating system version).
Aggregated usage history (e.g., date/time logs of pages viewed within the marketplace).
The Application or its trusted third-party SDKs may utilize local system caches and tokens to maintain active sessions. Where required by regional privacy regulations, your explicit consent will be collected before deploying tracking metrics.
We do not sell personal information. Your data is shared exclusively to execute your requested travel arrangements:
Between Market Participants: If an Agency books a Tour Guide and explicitly chooses to provide a phone number or pickup location, that data is shared with the specific Tour Guide strictly to facilitate the physical meeting.
Infrastructure Partners: Aggregated, anonymized device statistics are occasionally processed by core performance services to monitor infrastructure health.
Legal Protections: We may disclose collected information if required by a formal legal subpoena, to prevent fraud, or to protect the safety of our users.
The Service Provider may host or process data outside your local jurisdiction, including outside the European Economic Area (EEA). To ensure cross-border security complies with global privacy laws, the Service Provider relies on European Commission-approved Standard Contractual Clauses (SCCs) and robust technical safeguards.
In-App Account Deletion: Any registered user can easily initiate permanent account deletion directly from the Application's profile settings.
Retention Boundaries: Upon initiating deletion, your account record and personal profile data are permanently expunged from our live production databases, save for records required to be retained by local laws for tax, corporate accounting, or consumer travel receipt compliance.

The Application is restricted to users who are 16 years of age or older. The Service Provider does not knowingly harvest personal details from children under 16. If we discover a minor has inadvertently registered an account without proper authorization, the account and its profile parameters will be removed immediately.
We reserve the right to revise this Privacy Policy to mirror adjustments in our app workflows or shifting legal mandates. Material updates to this document will be communicated clearly inside the app interface alongside an explicit effective date change.
