Hi, I am Gakyung Kim, from South Korea. : )
Currently, I am a PhD Student at the Developmental Cognitive Neuroscience Lab at Seoul National University, under the guidance of Dr. Sang Ah Lee. I obtained my M.S. degree in Brain and Cognitive Sciences from Seoul National University, where I was mentored by Dr. Jiook Cha at the Connectome Lab. Additionally, I hold a B.A. in both Educational Technology and Psychology, and graduated with Summa Cum Laude honors and Departmental First-Class Honors.

How do people make sense of the social world and construct abstract thoughts, especially in social relations? My research focuses on understanding how people learn from and about others, and how these cognitive capacities manifest from early childhood. By integrating behavioral, computational, and neuroimaging methods, I aim to elucidate the origins and development of social learning and inference, providing insights into the foundational mechanisms of human cognition.
