Schedule for 7/11/26

We will be at this event: https://www.zeffy.com/en-US/ticketing/swamp-dragons-at-geeks for its entire duration (3:30 to 7:30) on 7/11, instead of our usual meeting time and day. While we will be exhibiting for part of it, we will still hold a regular training session at the end.

Typical Schedule:

We currently meet at Possum Creek Park (4009 NW 53rd Ave, Gainesville, FL 32653 ) on Saturdays between 6:00 P.M. and 8:00 P.M. Please note that if it is raining, the planned lesson for that day will be pushed back. For now, we will be focusing on longsword. If there is enough interest in doing sword and buckler again, we will schedule classes for that.

Each class will be structured approximately as follows:

6:00 to 7:20 - Main body of lesson.

7:20 to 7:30 - Stretches and Q&A.

7:30 to 7:50 - Sparring for advanced students.

7:50 to 8:00 - Cooldown and stretches for those who sparred.

For sparring of any kind, protective gear must be worn. Protective gear is available for $5 rentals per session if needed. Cash only.

If you wish to spar with steel swords, you may rent them from the club for $5 per session if desired. Cash only. You can of course bring your own steel weapons or borrow those of any other willing club member if desired as well.
