Our biggest fundraiser of the year is our Popcorn and Peanut sale! There are several ways to sell. Each family can choose the method (or combination of methods) that best fits their schedule!
This is the post popular selling option in our Pack! Scouts order their own inventory in advance and bring it to their sale location. The pack has set up many timeslots to sell in front of local stores like Publix and Bass Pro. You can also load up a wagon and walk around your neighborhood, or the tailgaters on campus before the UF home games. Unsold inventory can not be returned, but can sometimes be transferred to other families who are still selling.
Take our paper forms with you to work, around the neighborhood, and to family parties. Your supporters place their order and pay you now via cash or credit card. You then submit your order, receive the items, and deliver them in person with a huge thank you! Scouts do not have to order their own inventory in advance.
Create a sales page on the Trails-End Website and ask family and friends far and wide to support your scout. They pay Trails-End online with a credit card and get their order shipped directly to them. This is a convenient, hands-off way to fundraise!
How much do scouts make?
Scouts earn commission for each sale and donation.
30% commission for all storefront and paper sales
20% commission for online sales
50% commission for all unsolicited donations (the other 50% stays with the Pack to fund activities, adult training, and Pack camping equipment).
How much product should I order for storefront sales?
The average sales for a typical 2 hour storefront session is between $125 to $150. That is about 10 bags of popcorn.
The average sales for selling at a UF Tailgaiting is around $400 for 2 hours (27 bags).
Last year, scouts sold an average of $325. Our highest earner was $665!
PLEASE NOTE: the pack is unable to accept product returns. We will attempt to facilitate transfer of items between families.
