The Geomorphology Association of Ireland (GAI) is excited to announce the GAI Conference 2025, taking place at Dublin City University (DCU), Glasnevin Campus, on the 11th April 2025.
This highly anticipated event is a premier platform for researchers, professionals, and students to engage in discussions and share the latest advancements across the field of geomorphology. Specifically, topics will span a wide spectrum, including Coastal Processes, Fluvial Processes, Climate Change, and much more.
The conference will feature a diverse range of presentations, lightning talks and poster sessions, highlighting cutting-edge research, innovative methodologies, and emerging themes.

Dr. Darren Clarke is an Assistant Professor at Dublin City University's School of History and Geography. His research interests include climate adaptation, environmental policy and governance, and environmental psychology. His research to-date explores how communities can adapt to challenges like climate change by focusing on social and governance issues. He is interested in examining how vulnerable communities can transform and respond to environmental change, especially how these changes affect social behaviour and wellbeing. His work emphasises the need for transformative change, a key strategy highlighted by the Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change (IPCC) for addressing climate change in a fair and sustainable way.
