An 1890s Comedy of Manners with 1990s Attitude
Adapted by Constance Tarbox & Lance Windish from the drawing room plays of Oscar Wilde:
The Importance of Being Earnest
Lady Windermere’s Fan
An Ideal Husband
A Woman of No Importance
What happens when Oscar Wilde’s wicked wit crashes headfirst into the modern age? The Importance of Being Earnest & Other Wilde Nights mixes four of Wilde’s greatest comedies into one fast, fashionable, hilariously tangled night of secret identities, forbidden romances, scandalous letters, outrageous gossip, unexpected relatives, and one very important handbag. With the razor-sharp humor of the 1890s colliding with the music, fashion, dance, and attitude of the 1990s, everyone has something to hide and absolutely everyone has something to say. Come for the romance, stay for the scandal, and discover why being Earnest never goes out of style.
