Ration card is issued by the Food Safety Department in the country.

There is going to be a big change in the rules of ration cards in the country from tomorrow (1 June 2020). Many people move from place to place for work or other reasons. Due to which they are unable to avail the ration card. For this, the government has launched the "One country one card" scheme. Under which the beneficiary can avail anywhere. The government is going to make the ration card completely digital so that the ration card holder can get the ration by putting his thumb.

Ration card rules are going to be changed from 1 June which is as follows -

• Only one ration card will be valid in the country.
• Now the beneficiary will be able to get ration in any part of the country with the same ration card.
• The beneficiary will now get ration only after applying the thumb.
• For this, electronic point of cell machines will be installed on all ration shops.
• On which the information of the ration card holders will be linked to the Aadhaar card.
• Full information will be revealed as soon as the card number is fed into this machine.
• Ration will be given by putting the thumb of the ration card holder in the biometric machine.
• Thus the government is going to digital the ration card.

Ration card holders will benefit from the changes going on in the ration card in the country. It will not be a problem for them to get ration. Following are the benefits of ration card change -

• The biggest benefit from this will be that the beneficiary will be able to get ration in any corner of the country.
• Now only one ration card will be valid in the country, that is, you will be able to take ration anywhere from one ration card.
• The ration card will be made digital so that the ration chauri will be blocked by the ration dealer.
• Now the ration will be given only on the thumb impression of the beneficiary, so that the ration being sold in the black will be curbed.
• In this way, the government will bring transparency in the ration received on the ration card by making new changes in the ration card.
• Now the ration card will be issued in two languages, one in local language and the other in Hindi or English.

Application process : If you want to apply for ration card, first of all you have to visit the Food and Logistics Department site. After that you have to choose your language option, then you will have to fill your information, name, town, district, panchayat, etc. in the information.
