Club history

After attending several Regional & National Camp Rallies of the National African American Rv'ers Association (NAARVA), Grady and Myrtle Mayfield began to work on their vision of having a chartered RV club. They decided to contact as many RV'ers as they could to find out if others were interested in forming a club. Mrytle, with the NAARVA national roster in hand, began calling potential members. The first meeting of the group was held on June 12, 2004 at their home. Nine couples and one single were present at the first organizational meeting where the Constitution and Bylaws Committee was established and Officers were elected.

NAARVA approved the Georgia Easy Riders RV Club as a chartered club in the Southern Region in October 2004 and the charter was presented to the club at the 2005 National Rally in Casa Grande, Arizona.
