I'm currently a PostDoctoral Researcher at LIAAD (INESC TEC/University of Porto) and a Full Professor at the Federal Institute of Education, Science and Technology of Goiás, Jataí campus, Brazil. I have a PhD in Electronic Engineering and Computer Science (ITA - Technological Institute of Aeronautics). I have extensive experience with teaching (Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Mechatronics Engineering, Associate Degree and Vocational High School Courses in Computing) and academic management, having held functions as Head of Engineering and Computer Science Departments and Course Coordinator. I led several projects for the design and implementation of STEM Education projects, as vocational and undergraduate courses. My research interests are: Semantic Web, Linked Data, Knowledge Engineering, Machine Learning, Natural Language Processing and Big Data.
